About this event

Learn how Harvard's ecosystem offers opportunities and challenges for endangered species! Massachusetts is incredibly diverse and changes rapidly as you move across the state. Harvard is one of the few places we have been able to set aside large enough parcels of land for reptiles, amphibians and mammals to survive amidst the "sprawl frontier". During this one-hour, online event, Mike Jones, Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife and the Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program, will describe how the 495 belt is ground zero for species that are under siege and resources we can tap into to support them. Mike will specifically include Blanding's Turtle, prominent among Harvard's endangered species that he works closely with.Harvards Endangered Species
