Harvard Lanes is a recently renovated 14 lane candlepin bowling alley located on Ayer Road right off Route 2. They also have a cafe that serves pizza, chicken fingers and more - as well as beer, wine and cider. Harvard Lanes is a great place to bring family and friends for some fun old-school candlepin bowling and to host your next party or event!

The Little Bee Bookshop is a woman-owned independent bookstore located at 40 Main Street in downtown Ayer. While we primarily cater to children ages 0-18, we also have a small curated selection of both fiction and non-fiction for grownups. We carry gently used and new books and gladly accept special orders. With plentiful parking behind the store, comfy chairs and cozy spots to read, we invite you to make yourself comfortable and stay a while!

Music Together of Assabet Valley - Join Mister Vic and Miss Pat of Music Together of Assabet Valley for their world-renowned informal, education- based music program geared for children birth through age 5 with the grownups who love them. Sessions run for nine weeks and meet once per week for 45 minutes.  In class we’ll sing, recite rhythmic chants, dance and play instruments. Along with classes, tuition includes a beautifully illustrated song book, professional cd recording, access to the Family Music Zone where you’ll find additional resources and ideas for making music at home, and newsletters. There is a 50% sibling discount and children under eight months come for free when registered with a sibling. Classes are held year round, six days per week in Groton, Hudson, Maynard, Stow and Sudbury.
